Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born on March 4 1954), is a Canadian-American actor and comedian. O'Hara has won a number awards that include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) and two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was elected to the rank of an Officer of Canada. She was also awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara made her name as an actress as a member in 1974 of The Second City, an comedy troupe that was based in Toronto. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also part of her main cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd began work on Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara received praise for her comic acting and writing abilities which earned her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for a Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara was appointed to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert.
